Offer breakdown: Joshua Uche

Joshua Uche has been committed to Miami since early March. He's still listed as a solid commitment in spite of other major offers from Alabama and Florida. But if you look closely at his profile you'll note that the interest in the Tide and Gators is 'medium'.
That's not necessarily a perfect snapshot of where things stand, but this much is true: BC is probably not just throwing out 2016 offers in the hopes of blindly striking gold. Usually, at this stage in the process, offers are more calculated and there's usually a bit of interest there.
Uche is a 6-foot-1, 217-pound three-star receiver from Miami (Fla.) Columbus.
He's now following BC defensive coordinator Don Brown on Twitter, which is noteworthy -- although it's probably more noteworthy that he's following a whole host of accounts associated with the University of Florida in some form or fashion.
Brown's involvement is more telling in another respect. He's probably a defensive recruit for the Eagles.
On Uche's Hudl.com profile and film he's listed as a defensive end/outside linebacker. Receiver isn't even listed, although that's his positional category on his Rivals.com profile.
So what does Uche's film reveal?
There's no doubt he'd be considered an undersized defensive end. The good thing is that Uche's certainly fast enough to play as an outside linebacker that can either set the edge or get after the passer.
Boston College's coaches have demonstrated that they're not so much worried about players with the 'tweener label. While that might worry some schools and coaches, that's added versatility and a higher likelihood of a player contributing, at least in the eyes of the Eagle coaching staff -- and Don Brown in particular.
